George
George Maris
Regional General Manager
With 39 years of experience in the public safety industry, George Maris has built a career grounded in innovation, service, and leadership. He joined Dana Safety Supply in 2012 and now oversees all California operations as Regional General Manager. Prior to his career in the private sector, George served 14 years as a Deputy Sheriff, giving him a deep, personal understanding of the law enforcement community he continues to serve. George is also a recognized innovator—he was awarded a U.S. patent for developing one of the first vehicle wiring harness tables that replicated the precise layout of various makes and models. His invention dramatically improved installation times and quality for large-scale upfitting contracts by reducing wire waste and ensuring consistent, reliable connections. What continues to drive him is the enduring leadership and vision of Dana Safety Supply’s senior team—something he credits with keeping him focused, energized, and committed to excellence for his team and customers. When not at work, George enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and trail riding on four-wheelers and side-by-sides. While he has a love for woodworking, he admits it’s been a while since he last picked up a chisel.
